It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

First off, if you are gonna fly at the topic with NO GOD SAID NO HE'LL SAY NO AND SMITE USS WAAaaAAA!1!!!1 or something like that, if God didn't want us to see it (for those who believe) then why would it be? Curiosity killed the cat? The cat was a sign for the devil in ancient times, and Eve's curiosity to eat the forbidden fruit was curiosity. You decide on the religious part.

Now...

They've cloned a few things but, nothing significant. I think it's fine but cloning a human? No. We'd become a world where we wouldn't know if we were from a person. We don't need a bunch of clones running around, its blind deception just as if a computer were to sprout a mind and you wouldn't know if you were talking to a man or a machine on the internet. Cloning is VERY GOOD though, just not humans. Cloning cattle for poor families, or even cloning large ammounts of water to bring to places in Australia and stuff suffering from loss of water. It could help us out a lot, but not let it get in the hands of anyone irresponsible or let someone clone a human... but it would be bound to happen eventually, nothing's inevitable. The sun shines as the moon turns us to night, just as we one day will die, and one day if we do cloning people will be cloned.

Training hard !!

If you want the religous answer :

Cloning a human is basically playing god. Pretending to be god. Why pretend to be god when there is already a god .

The reald-deal answer for yous aethiests :

Why spend the huge amount of money to clone a human or say cattle for the poor as HFK sed, when you can basically save so much money by providing said poor people with an education, farming supplies etc....
No need to clone humans, just have intercourse !!
But i do support the research that allows one to clone say, a kidney, or research in genetics that allows for a cure to some disease. That is a different case.

I see, Go Kogew Go Kogew, lol thanks for your support.

But, if it becomes cost efficient to clone stuff sheep etc. and send them to poor countries then its a good idea instead of shipping actual meat, although cheap, it may be cheaper to send clones, free maybe or very small, since even though sending 1 real sheep isn't going to cost much but when you send 20,000,000 to poor families that cost lets say 5 dollars each that's 100,000,000 dollars of sheep, if a sheep in a cloner costed about 5 cents it would only be like... 50,000 dollars? Not sure.

There are some benefits that can come from human cloning:

- Mass-produced organs for medical purposes
- Ideal military design of the right intellect, disease immunity, etc.
- Producing a population of or reviving genetically intelligent individuals.
- Producing a population of individuals fit to survive most known diseases.
- Far easier human experimentation in medical science and biology.

However, there are serious consequences that can result from it:

- Legal issues, such as identity theft, incest, and human rights.
- Potential escalate in overpopulation.
- Higher risks of certain strains of certain diseases for certain genetic gene pools.
- Moral issues such as religion, personal beliefs, discrimination, etc.

For the reasons above, I don't think cloning humans is such a good idea, although it does offer some tremendous health benefits. Besides, true cloning is impossible unless we miraculously figure out how to transfer, recreate, or implant human memories and knowledge.

I totally agree with Kogu there.
One thing we have to keep in mind, whenever we clone a human, the clone will be a human being himself. That's when things start getting complicated.

Cloning on humans should not be done. However, if we wanted to bring back a Mastadon or a Saber Tooth Tiger, to study it. Then I believe we could. Do I agree with it? No. I believe God intended those creatures to be dead, but at the same time I believe God created the idea of cloning for a good purpose. We just have to figure out what. Also cloning could be used to clone someone's liver or heart. It could save lives. However, if you really want to see how cloning could turn bad, watch the movie "The Island"

I personally like the idea of cloning humans.Sure most people dont but they can think what they want.I'd love to live on my life endlessly and be able to learn everything about everything and when you're finished.Just stop being cloned.Kinda like Kage bunshin(shadow Replication). You could do soooooo many things in a day.

I think you honestly need to watch the movie "The Island." Lol it is a good movie. ;) What if you clone decided that it wanted your life instead? Then it took you out. Who is to say a clone would do what you want it to do? It would be free thinking, just like when they cloned the sheep. We should use the gift that God give us, not abuse it. We already have a straneous population on the world, the last thing we need is sprouting coppies of people.

The Island and similar books are just superstitions focused on negative things by a single man, doesn't mean they are right at all. I could say I was going to assassinate Bush, kill his mom, take the White House and blow up America, it doesn't mean its true.

And Mike, it's not duplicating yourself, the clone would have a different mind and would learn different information than you, and it'd be likely you'd be seperated.

They could also bring back a dinosaur, they found DNA and bone marrow of a T-Rex. That would certaintly help mankind.

why only the famous?
Cloning would solve many problems like unemployment. But it would create MORE problems like poverty. And If they did clone then you could genitically modify them to obey any command given to them by the person they were cloned from.Thats all I was meaning

No because a lot of fraud could be committed and stuff and the entire earth would collapse under over population and everything.

Plus wars would never end...

The last thing we need is more Britney Spears running around lol, but I mean put yourself in the clones' shoes. You were made for no purpose whatsoever. That could cause a lot of psycological problems. Who is to say it wouldn't start a mass revolution. Or war? Cloned people vs. born people. It could happen.
